[00:00:00] Hello, and welcome back to season four of the If She Did It Podcast. This is episode two, I really have to say, like I said this in last week’s episode, but I’m just so excited to be back and I’m really excited about these topics we’re talking about because I haven’t really gone back to the basics in a long time and the basics are so important, especially for my audience, my community that is in the beginning stages of business.
[00:00:25] And I know that there’s a big portion of you that is so I’m just really stoked for you. So today’s episode, we’re going to be talking about how to create a brand that attracts dream clients ready to buy. I mentioned that I was going to be creating this episode on last week’s episode, and I just thought that this was the perfect second episode of the season.
[00:00:48] Now, before we dive in a couple of reminders when you share that you’re listening to the podcast and tag me on Instagram, you will be entered for a Starbucks on me, Starbucks coffee on me. Each week I will announce that on the @IfSheDidItPodcast Instagram. Each week you’ll get tagged on Instagram Stories to contact me to snag your free coffee. So super stoked about that. And as always, whenever you leave a review and send a screenshot of it to me, you’re also entered. So a lot of ways to enter for that Starbucks coffee on me. And every time if you listen to the podcast every single week and tag, every week you are re-entered each week so unlimited coffees you can win as many times once you enter. You can win each week. So that’s exciting.
[00:01:35] And again, today we’re going to be talking about how to create a brand that attracts dream clients ready to buy. So let’s go ahead and dive in.
[00:01:42] Welcome to the If She Did It podcast with your host, business coach, and business bestie Becky Feigin. This is your one-stop shop for all things business growth, energetic alignment, strategy mindset, and a fun touch of spirituality. Nothing is off-limits here, and you’re bound to lead every single episode inspired, excited, and ready to take massive action in your business. This podcast was created to help create more badass female CEOs and help you see that business gets to be simple, strategic, and fun. Now, let’s dive in.
[00:02:14] So as I mentioned before, we are talking about how to create a brand that attracts dream clients ready to buy. This is so juicy like it is unreal how much really strong, powerful branding can do for your business. So to be clear, I am not talking about color schemes or fonts or anything like that consistency in your colors, consistency in your fonts. That’s all really powerful, but that’s not what we’re talking about today.
[00:02:42] We are talking about your personal branding that makes you stand out and unique. So the very first thing when it comes to creating a brand that attracts dream clients ready to buy is your hero’s journey. Now, I slightly mentioned this in last week’s episode, but essentially your hero’s journey is the journey of like, think of the books that you read in school growing up where you watched the hero, the main character go from point A to point B, and they had this whole journey in between.
[00:03:13] They hit the climax their aha moment at the middle of the book, the middle of the movie, whatever it was, and then they reached their solution, right? So at the end of the day, your quote-unquote solution is where you are today in your business. But I want you to create your hero’s journey, your story of what got you from whatever you were doing before you started your business all the way to I started my business.
[00:03:38] This is why I started my business. These are the ones I’ve had this far. This is what I’ve realized, et cetera. And here we are today and get them to the endpoint. Creating that hero’s journey of how you arrived at where you are today is going to make you really relatable. And it’s going to help people understand who you are, your background, why you started your business, all things like that.
[00:04:00] It’s also really great if you then create this into like you have your main story or hero story that you share your Instagram Stories, you create an Instagram Story, highlight for it, and then you create the Spark Notes version of your story. And you know how a lot of people in DMs will say, Tell me about how you got started in your business instead of having to type it up all over again every single time or referring people to your Instagram Story highlights.
[00:04:23] Because although there’s nothing inherently wrong with doing that, some people are like, Oh, she doesn’t want to have a conversation and it kind of like ruins, a potential relationship building opportunity. You can just have your Spark Notes version of your story, copy paste it into the chat. You’re good to go. So that’s a little hack I have for you. But creating that hero’s journey is going to be really impactful. And then what? I would encourage you to do? Create a story highlight like I said.
[00:04:44] But then once at least once, if not twice every quarter. Pick a day where you reshare your story, your hero’s journey story on your Instagram Stories. How many times can we say story and add to it as well? Because as you grow in your business? Things shift, so that’s going to be a great way to continue to reignite your audience, remind them who you are, remind you, remind them how you got started, how you got to where you are, but also not reignite but ignite the new followers that you have and keep them up to date on who you are and all that good stuff.
[00:05:15] So Hero’s journey is really important to building a brand that attracts dream clients ready to buy. Ok, so the next piece this is my favorite piece. I coined this back in 2019. What makes you weird? This is the thing. So basically back in 2019, I realized I am a fucking weirdo. You guys, I am such a damn weirdo and I can either be ashamed of how weird I am, or I can own how weird I am. And of course, I decided to own how weird I was, and I made a whole concept around it. So essentially, I want you to create a list of everything that makes you you. Everything that makes you you from the color of your hair to the your hair pattern, to the clothes you wear to what lights you up to what you hate.
[00:06:03] If you have a dog or a cat or a hamster, like everything that makes you you. Because everything that makes you you. Whether you know it or not, is unique because it’s you, right? Like, we might have three things in common, but the one thing that we don’t have in common makes you unique for me. You know what I mean? So make that list and then pick out your favorite, I don’t know, three to five concepts from that list and use those lean into those as really important pillars of your personal brand. Ok.
[00:06:32] So, for example, a couple of things that I lean into is the fact that I am building a empire for my pajamas. I love being dressed in pajamas. I have to take at least 50 percent of the photos that I take for photo shoots for my business are me in like pajama like pants and clothes because that’s my brand luxe in pajamas. And then, you know, so I lean into that. I lean into just how fucking weird I am and that I just say, what’s on my mind? I lean into the fact that I struggle with a lot of depression and anxiety and that, you know, that’s not inherently unique. But because of my twist and my approach to speaking about it, it makes it unique. And it’s about me, right? So I want you to pick the pillars from that list.
[00:07:20] You just or you you’re going to create and lean into them, share stories around them that can turn that you can loop back into your business lessons, learned things that make you you like that is going to connect with people in a really powerful way. You can share this through Instagram Stories. You can share this through your Instagram posts. But as important as it is to provide like tips and tricks type content to show people that you know what you’re talking about and giving people quick wins.
[00:07:47] It is also just as equally important to share these storylines and to bring your personality and your uniqueness and your weirdness into the mix, because that is what makes you relatable, right? So if people latch on to your educational content, they’re going to really connect with you and feel comfortable to send you DMs and start conversations with you and respond to you if you reach out to them when you start sharing your personal pieces, right?
[00:08:12] So that’s really important. What makes you weird now? These are the two biggest things. Now we have your the piece that I like to bring into branding because it’s your personal brand, it’s your personality and who you are is connecting to your audience. So using the things that make you weird, that is one way to connect to your audience. And that is an important leveraging opportunity.
[00:08:31] But the other piece is genuinely connecting with them, having conversations with them, deeming them getting to know them on a personal level. Commenting on their content because the more that you reach out to them and put yourself out there to them and show them you’re important to be, you matter you’re in my community and you matter, the more likely they are going to do the same to you and connect with you and feel safe with you and be more inclined to want to hire you honestly so that connecting to your audience piece is really important.
[00:08:58] Now, the next thing is having touch points. Now, this is similar to what makes you weird, but it’s a little bit different. So touchpoints are more simple, almost like sharing your dog on your Instagram Stories, sharing your obsession for plants on your Instagram Stories, sharing your hobbies like little things like that that provide touchpoints that can lead to conversations.
[00:09:22] Ok, that’s going to be really important. We want to open up as many opportunities as possible to build conversations, and this is your brand because it’s who you are. At the end of the day, when you’re building a personal brand, you are sharing who you are and that’s what this is. Those simple touch points makes such a difference. And I am telling you, you guys, the last point that I’m going to provide to you.
[00:09:45] I have one more thing before. The last point is going to be the thing that wraps it all together. But I’m telling you guys, like, it gets to be this simple now again, shameless plug. We dive a lot deeper into all of these concepts and build out together your. Don’t brand and the Abundant Business Academy now this round, at the time of recording the application, I’m sorry, the sales page is not finished and it probably won’t be finished by the time this goes live.
[00:10:11] This round will be starting at the end of February, but when you apply now, so the application will be on the show notes. When you apply now for the program for the Abundant Business Academy, you are going to get access to nearly a thousand dollars worth of bonuses, including a 90 minute one on one intensive with me, which normally goes for four hundred ninety seven dollars at the time of this recording, and the program itself is only nine hundred ninety seven dollars.
[00:10:36] So it’s a no brainer if you ask me and it’s going to provide you with everything you need to like, actually start landing clients in the 10 weeks that we’re working together. No joke you guys tried. And true, this shit works, and I’m so excited for this remake of the Abundant Business Academy and making it a more approachable investment. And of course, there are payment plans as well. So that’s exciting.
[00:11:00] So the application for that will be in the show notes and like I said, everything related to branding. We’re going to go into so much more depth on in the program as well as you’re going to have some like a portal full of guest trainings. Not too many. Not an overwhelming amount, but there will be at least one guest training around branding to go even more in depth, though, so I’m very excited for that again. Application will be in the show notes.
[00:11:23] So anyway, as I was saying, those touch points are really important. The next piece, this is like a cherry on top type thing. It’s not the end all, be all. But if I could go back and rebrand myself and of course, I can rebrand myself now, but if I could go back to the beginning, this is something that I would have put a lot more emphasis on having phrases that you are known for. I do say just do the damn thing a lot, and I have a lot of clients that think of me whenever they say that.
[00:11:48] I also say, long story short, a lot because I am so freaking long winded. I actually have a GIF that was made for me by a client that literally says, long story short, and it’s magical. I’m obsessed with it anyway. Picking a phrase or a couple of phrases or like a tagline that you become known for what that’s like the cherry on top chef’s kiss we love.
[00:12:07] Because people start to remember you for it. But that’s the thing. With all of this, people start to remember you for these things. The touch points. What makes you weird? Even sharing your hero’s journey journey, people start to remember you for it. A touch point. I don’t know if you know who Jenna Kutcher is, but she is one of the OG Instagram educators, and I bought a course of hers back when I was in college, like probably six years ago. Maybe longer, honestly. And so I bought a course from her and I used to listen to her podcast all the time, and she used to mention all the time how much she loved Kraft Mac and cheese.
[00:12:43] And you guys, this was six plus years ago, and I still remember it to this day. To this day, I still remember that Jenna Kutcher loves Kraft Mac and cheese, and whenever I eat mac and cheese, I think of Jenna Kutcher. Even though I mean, I love her, but I don’t even think I follow her on social media anymore. So like, come on, you guys touch points connecting to your audience. What makes you weird? Your hero’s journey? These are all such powerful things that, like, put your put you into your dream clients and mind like forever. So this is why this is so important. So phrases catch phrases, taglines, that kind of stuff is so valuable.
[00:13:18] The other piece of this point is giving your community a name, so you’ll notice a lot that I call you guys Chickies. I wouldn’t necessarily say that. Like, that’s a name for my community, per say. But I do say it a lot and I’m like, Oh my gosh, hey, chickie is so you know, that’s something that I lean into. But picking a name for your community, if you can come up with them, come up with one is going to be also so freaking amazing. So these are just really important pointers to to consider.
[00:13:47] Ok, now. The last piece that brings everything together is the energy. Now you’re going to be like, OK, Becky, what does that do with branding so your energy radiating confidence showing up powerfully? Side note When it comes radiating confidence, one of the bonuses that you get when you apply for the abundant business academy early is my confidence course. That’s fucking phenomenal. So boom.
[00:14:10] But anyway, radiating confidence, showing up with a powerful, strong energy while sharing all of this of of of your branding of your personal brand is going to put it all together in such a beautiful light that it’s really going to connect with your people. So that energetic, like the piece of energetics is so unbelievably powerful, and it’s something that I want you to keep in mind through all of this showing up in your best light, showing up as powerfully as possible, as confidently as possible as you share all these pieces is going to be the cherry on top.
[00:14:45] Ok, so as a reminder, everything that we just went over today is when it comes to attracting dream clients ready to buy. You want to have a hero’s journey. You want to really lean into what makes you weird and bring those stories and bring those pieces of you into your content. You want to connect with your audience beyond just with connection content. Do you want to be having conversations with them? You want to make them feel seen, make them feel special.
[00:15:07] You want to have those touchpoints. So like if you’re obsessed with Kraft Mac and cheese or you love your dog and you show your dog a lot or you have a bajillion plants in your apartment and you share your plants all the time, whatever it is, those touch points are important. And then we have the catch phrases, the taglines and giving your community a name and then that radiating confidence powerful, strong energy.
[00:15:28] All of these things brought together into a powerful brand is going to call in clients that are just so ready and obsessed with you and ready to buy. And that’s what we’re looking for. So take this, do some, do some soul searching, do some work based on all of these different, you know, pieces of your personal brand and go build this out and go show up in this energy and reach out to me and let me know how it goes.
[00:15:53] I want to keep updated. I would be so stoked to hear that you are landing clients from taking action from these episodes. And of course, if you want a deeper education on all this information and you want personal support from me, go apply to the Abundant Business Academy. I guarantee it’s going to be the best 10 weeks of your life thus far in terms of business. And again, as a couple of reminders, it would mean the world to me.
[00:16:16] If you enjoy this episode and if you enjoy the podcast, live a five star review of the podcast. And if you screenshot that review and send it to me, you’ll be entered to win a Starbucks coffee on me. Another way to win a Starbucks coffee on me is to share on Instagram Stories and tagged me whether it’s at Becky Feigin or if she did a podcast or both on Instagram saying that you’re listening to my podcast. You also get entered to win a Starbucks coffee on me. And then next week I will announce the winner of this week’s coffee on the If She Did It Podcast Instagram account. So there’s that hope to see all of you engaging and enjoying things, and I will catch you next week on the If She Did It Podcast.
