This is What’s Holding You Back in Your Business

And we’re talking about money mindset. So, you know, money mindset is something that comes up a lot for us, whether we’re looking to invest in a program with a coach or anything else in business. So this is a really important topic and I haven’t talked about it in a long time. So, you know, we’re going to dive into this. So this is valuable for you, whether you’re interested in working with me or not. So I am going to dive into this week’s episode and let’s talk all about the perspective around investing and money.

[00:01:39] OK, everybody. So as I mentioned, we’re going to be talking about money mindset. So as I’m live on Tiktok, I’m going to kick this off. A really great question was, does studying financial literacy change your mindset? And I do think that understanding and studying financial literacy is a really great way to work on your mindset. And understanding finances in relation to business is something that we do talk about in the Abundant Business Academy, because it is really, really important to understand your finances, understand how you’re handling your money when you understand where the money is going, how you’re spending your money, what business profit you’re making versus your income and things like that.

[00:02:16] It makes you feel like a very powerful entrepreneur and it makes you feel in control of your business. So that is something that we discuss when we dive into money mindset and the thought of investing and the fear around investing because this is something that comes up a lot. We’re talking about shifting our perspective around what investing looks like shifting our perspective around why we’re afraid to do something.

[00:02:38] So what I found is a lot of new entrepreneurs have come into the world recently, which is beautiful and it’s amazing. And if you’re a new entrepreneur, welcome. Congratulations on starting your business. You are my dream client, most likely. But what I have also found is that a lot of newer entrepreneurs, you don’t feel ready to invest in hiring a business coach or you don’t see value in hiring a business coach. And that’s something really important to discuss, because at the end of the day, you know, when you’re asking somebody to invest in you invest in your service, invest in what you have to offer them, but you’re not willing to do the same when you don’t know how to effectively market and sell your services. There’s a problem there. There’s something missing. There’s a gap.

[00:03:23] So just because you have a really great product or you have a really great service or you’re a really fucking good health coach or mindset coach or whatever it is, that does not mean that you know how to sell your services, that you know how to market your services, that you know how to launch a service. There is a disconnect. You can be really freaking good at what you do and still need guidance and support. And, you know, in actually running a business, running a business is not intuitive for everyone.

[00:03:52] It’s not intuitive for most people. If it was business, degrees wouldn’t exist. If it was that simple and that obvious business degrees wouldn’t exist. So now when we’re looking at the shift in money mindset, a lot of things that come up whenever I want to leave on a business academy is saying things like when I can afford it, I will do the program or I just have other things coming up right now that are holding me back from making an investment. Or I just need to get my first client and then I can get help or there’s excuse after excuse or I’m going to have to wait until next time. But the thing is, every time that next time comes, you’re still not ready to join because you say you want to wait until next time. But then don’t change your spending habits to save the money, to make the investment.

[00:04:34] The investment of this program isn’t changing. Right. The investment of most of those programs aren’t changing. OK, so instead of shifting. And saying, I’m going to wait until next time, what if you figured out a way to make it work right now? Because the biggest question that you need to ask yourself, and this is something that changed my money mindset so much or like my mindset around investing so much is. Where you are today, what’s going on in your business right now? Do you want that to be where you are four months from now, five months from now, six months from now, especially if we’re talking about joining this program specifically because this program will probably not launch again for another six months.

[00:05:14] So do you want to be where you’re at right now, six months from now, or do you want to be somewhere different? And I bring this up a lot because it is so important. Tanya is live with me on Tiktok and just saying this has been her experience stuck in the same place. Yes. This happens to so many people. We don’t understand the value in investing or we don’t realize what investing can do for ourselves or we don’t believe in ourselves enough to make the investment and we make other excuses for it.

[00:05:46] Because the reality is, especially with this program, the payment plan options, especially since I am very lenient with payment plans, can make it pretty dang affordable and pretty approachable. But we’re scared to make the investment because we don’t trust ourselves to get a return on investment. We don’t trust ourselves to see the results that we want to see. But the reality is, if you don’t trust yourself to see the results you want to see for making an investment, how are you going to see the results you want to see from not making an investment if you are too afraid to make an investment and do the work that is proven to work.

[00:06:20] Because clients that have joined my program in the past on average get at least two clients and all you need. And what I say, at least two clients, at least two high ticket clients, meaning about a minimum three thousand dollars in sales by the end of the program, typically, if not more. I’ve had a client make nearly 10 grand in three months, starting her business from ground zero on day one of the program, and make ten, nearly ten grand by the end of the program. That didn’t happen by chance. That didn’t happen by luck. That happened because we created implementable strategies that she made personal to herself, not a blueprint to success, not giving you my success blueprint, but teaching you the tools, the tactics, what you need to know to make your own success blueprint, to make your own strategy, to get the results that you want to see in your business. Right.

[00:07:11] So that is proven. It is proven time and time again that these strategies work. And not only that, this round of the program is being taken up a notch. I have worked with a live learning expert to make sure that this stuff is not just something that you learn, you regurgitate, you do the action, that you never do it again. This is to make sure that you master it so that you can see long-term success in your business.

[00:07:34] And it’s been proven because these clients get on average, essentially, they’re on average making their money back, if not more, by the end of the program. Right. And so the reality is you are you see that there is possibility for you to make, at minimum, your investment back. So it’s not truly that you don’t see the value in the program. The problem is you don’t trust yourself enough to do the work to make the investment back.

[00:08:03] But the thing is, you hire a coach to make the work in the process of building a successful, profitable business easier on you because it’s being at least with me, we’re simplifying the process to make sure that you can reach your goal faster. Right. To reach your goal faster so you don’t have to spend hours researching. So you’re telling me you’re telling yourself that you don’t believe in yourself enough to make the investment and get a return on investment and then some.

[00:08:29] But you think that you could do it on your own when doing it on your own is going to be harder. It’s going to be more work. And you’re not going to have skin in the game because if you don’t make it work, you don’t make it work. Right. So this is why investing is so important and so valuable. And it also helps when you get up against an opportunity to invest and you find yourself doubting yourself and questioning yourself like I’m bringing up right now.

[00:08:53] You then realize. Do you really want this and you get put up to this challenge of identifying what you prioritize, what is your priority in life? Is your priority to see results in your business? Is your priority to make your business your full time job, to bring in as much income as possible and to build a legacy for yourself? Maybe it’s not to build a legacy that’s totally fine. Sometimes our priority in business is just to make enough to live and survive and to thrive in some capacity. Whatever it is, we have a goal to reach in our business. And you’re now telling me that you don’t think that you can do it essentially right at the end of the day, that’s what you’re saying.

[00:09:37] Hey, Sarah, so how do we shift this? Because this needs to be shifted because until we shift this, you are going to be stuck in that same trap of constant. I’m going to try again next time or I’ll invest next time or I’ll get support next time or I’m going to figure it out on my own when, realistically speaking, you don’t believe in yourself to figure it out really is what you’re saying. So how again, how do we shift this? So the very first thing I want you to realize is that money is a renewable resource.

[00:10:08] Time is not, your time is not renewable, but money is. And I know that my sound really privileged. I know. I understand. However, I have seen time and time again that when you want to make something happen, you can make it happen. And this might come down to asking for help. I have had clients that have come to me and said, I really want to work with you and I want to make this happen, but I cannot get a zero percent interest credit card. I am not comfortable putting this on a normal credit card and I cannot afford that payment plan, the payment plan options.

[00:10:41] So we figure something out whether we put them on a really large payment plan and they join the next round or we just figure something out, the privilege of having a successful business as you also get to provide special opportunities for people that couldn’t attain it otherwise. So I want to be very clear that there are certain instances where there is no option other than to wait or there’s no option other than to try to have to figure it out on your own. But for the most part, there’s always a way to figure it out. The other thing is, if we are entrepreneurs and you are a true entrepreneur and you are entrepreneurial minded, there is always a way to figure out how to make money, even if it’s not from your own business.

[00:11:21] A great example. One of my old coaches, she was like, I really want to make this investment. I didn’t have the money. So you know what I did. I called everybody I knew I was a really good painter and I said, do you need your walls painted in your house? And she went and painted friends and family and friends of friends homes like the walls of their home. She painted their homes to make money, and that’s how she paid for the coach that she wanted to invest in. Right.

[00:11:46] And I’m not saying you have to do that, but there’s always a way to figure out how to make the money. And there’s also a little bit of making a bet on yourself, taking a chance on yourself. So I take chances on myself in one way. You might take a chance on yourself another way. So for me, I had my first year in business. I really wanted to invest in a coach. I was feeling really stuck. I knew what I knew what to do. I’m really good at the marketing and all these techniques, but I still at that point wasn’t good at sales. I didn’t understand sales at that point and I wanted to get good at it. And I just knew that there was more support I needed in my business.

[00:12:19] So I got to hire this coach and she tells me that to work with her is five thousand dollars. And if I didn’t pay in full, it was going to cost me seven thousand dollars. And I was like, holy fuck. So I got a pay in full, I love pay in full. So I personally, what I did was I took a chance on myself by opening a zero percent interest. But I didn’t have the money. I did not have the money. I want to there percent interest credit card. And I put it on that and I said, OK, I have eighteen months to pay this year. Percentage credit card off the minimum payment each month is one hundred bucks. I can pay a hundred bucks a month on this card and I am betting on myself. That by the end of the zero percent interest period, I will have the money to pay it off in full, I made a bet on myself.

[00:12:59] It’s risky. Not everybody is willing to take that risk, but I was willing to take that risk and I’ve taken that risk time and time again. I have opened more zero percent interest credit card. Since then, I have been denied your percent interest credit cards and then had to do something to figure out how to pay it off. And I do it every time or I figure out a way to get my credit score of somehow really quickly so that I can apply for another zero percent interest credit card.

[00:13:29] And I’m no credit expert. I’m not I’m not finance expert. I have guest speakers that come to share like finance and stuff. But I can tell you that that’s what’s worked for me. And I just make it my priority to pay it off. Right. I make it a priority and I tell myself I’m going to figure it out. So we need to figure out what we want to do.

[00:13:49] So I’m going to like shift for one second because I want to respect Tanya, who is live on Tiktok right now, who asked me to give a description about my program because she’s new to my content. What’s the first step after joining. So my program for those that are listening to my podcast, maybe this is the first episode you’ve heard. I do have a more in-depth episode that is actually live, that talks about more detail about the program. And of course, I have the sales page. So the sales page will be linked in the show notes. The sales pitch is also linked on my Tiktok bio, but basically this is a program for new coaches and service providers. This program is probably not it, but I love product based businesses so we can chat and see, like, depending upon what you need support with.

[00:14:34] But basically this program is for newer coaches and service providers who are not seeing movement in their business or are unsure how to take the next step and want their businesses to thrive, want their businesses to be successful. So this program takes you step by step. We work on the mindset consistently through the program, and then we work through niching, down your branding, marketing, social media, how to show up and market yourself on social media, how to create a signature offer, how to launch or offer, how to sell it. We go through all the foundations of building a successful business in the most simple, streamlined process possible and how to be making you money in your business, essentially.

[00:15:17] And the first step after joining is you get an email welcoming you with all the next steps, including joining a Facebook group for support. We have weekly live calls where I’m coaching you. It’s like a life coaching program. You even depending upon the level that you join that you get a certain amount of one on one access to me. It’s very fully supportive. Some people ask me, you know, why don’t you make it more? Because it is a bit of an investment. I’m never going to deny that. And sometimes people ask me, why don’t you make them more approachable investment? But the reality is, it would be out of integrity for me to create a lower ticket program that’s claiming the same results as this program. Because this program is a full-fledged program to build up your business and make you help profitable long term.

[00:16:05] If this program was less money and less comprehensive, it cannot guarantee well, there’s no guarantee, obviously, but it cannot provide you that same level of results. I believe that as a beginner, you need the full thing. You need the full pie, not just a slice of the pie, you need the full pie. And instead of creating a bunch of mini programs that would require you to go through every single mini program to truly see the results, I would prefer to work with people that are ready to go all in and make a full on investment and get those level of results for themselves. And I have women that join every round, so that’s really the focus there.

[00:16:40] But circling back to making the investment and like the mindset behind making an investment because it can be super scary, is realizing that. And I feel like I talk about this so much when I’m so passionate about it, is realizing that making an investment is part of business, it’s part of business. And there are going to always be people that talk shit on business coaches and talk shit on the coaching industry. But it is just like any other industry.

[00:17:05] It is just like any other industry. You need the whole piece of the puzzle. So health coaches are phenomenal, mindset coaches are phenomenal, virtual assistants, social media managers, graphic designers, illustrators, online business managers, mindset coaches, manifestation coaches, all the coaches, all the service providers who are also needed. You are also amazing. And business coaches are needed because if you are one of those people and all you know is that and you don’t know marketing and you don’t know sales and you don’t know how to create an offer that is effective and is going to take your client from point A to point B if you don’t know how to create a package that is all encompassing and is going to provide the best results for your client. If you don’t know if you’re struggling with imposter syndrome, if you’re struggling with doubt about yourself and like your business, if you, you know, don’t know how to actually get clients.

[00:17:56] Thank you so much. I feel inspired. Yay I’m so happy if you don’t know how to do all of those things. Right. There’s nothing wrong with you, but that’s totally normal to not know how to do that, but you need to get help to do it. Yeah, you can watch, like, free YouTube videos and stuff, but it’s going to take you so long to piece that all together and make that into a successful business, whereas you can save time because time is not renewable.

[00:18:20] Once your time is gone, your time is gone. Invest some money and see results much faster. That’s the difference. That’s the difference. And that’s what’s so important. So it’s time to decide that you want to see a difference and you want to make a difference and you honor your time and respect your time. And I prefer to make the investment, take a bet on yourself, see a transformation and make a difference in your business. You know what I mean? There’s like a difference there. There’s a difference there. So.

[00:18:49] What I encourage you to do is I really encourage you to sit down with yourself and ask yourself what is so important to you, what is your priority in business? What is your priority in life? What do you want to see happen between now and the end of the year? What what do you want to see happen in your life in business? And if that looks like growth, if that looks like transformation, if that looks like you want to be full time making consistent, really comfortable income in your business by the end of the year, then it’s time to take a chance on yourself. It’s time to make a bet on yourself. It’s time to make that investment and join the Abundant Business Academy. It’s time to make a bet on yourself and see what you can do, right, because there is so much possibility and the proof is in the numbers that the average client that believes the a business academy leaves with at least two clients, the average will be higher. Right. If you joined and put your booty to work and made it happen. And I know the average is going to get higher with these shifts that have been put into the program.
